NGI Explorers sends Europe’s best Internet talent to the USA

The NGI Explorers Programme is part of the European Commission’s Next Generation Internet initiative. Under this Programme, European researchers and innovators will have the opportunity to visit the United States to work on research or innovation projects.

Europe’s top innovators and researchers from the academia, research and corporate worlds will be able to make an impact in fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Internet of Things, Blockchain, Cybersecurity and 5G.

Participants will have the opportunity to spend 3-6 months in the US and will be hosted by a network of US partners. The project’s target is to give participants the chance to pursue their ideas in an ideal environment, while adopting and cultivating an American mindset.

The EU will provide 100% financial support for travel and subsistence in the form of EU public grants.

Applicants need to be valid EU-passport holders and be part of a European “legal entity” which for this project is limited to start-ups, SMEs, mid-caps, research centres or academia.

Candidate requirements are the following:

  • A valid passport holder

  • An employee of a European/H2020 associated countries/OCT (1) legal entity under the EC regulations (2)
