EU-funded “Keys to Japan” competition offers Cypriot companies professional market entry plan

Updated: Sep 25, 2019

Cypriot SME companies that seek to market a product or service in Japan can now do so through the European Commission-funded initiative “Keys to Japan”. “Keys to Japan” is a European Commission-funded initiative, managed by the EU-Japan Centre.

The programme will fund two winners to get a detailed and personalised market entry business plan prepared by JMEC (Japanese Market Expansion Competition). JMEC aims to strengthen the skills of up-and-coming executives, while assisting foreign companies doing business in Japan.

The “Keys to Japan” programme is worth €10.000 but winning companies will only have to pay €3.000 as the EU-Japan Centre will cover the remaining €7.000.

Any relevant industrial or consumer product or service company is eligible to apply. Applicants must be at least 20 years of age at the date of submission of the application form.

Deadline for applications is 20th of September 2019. For more information and for submitting applications click here.
